The RiverWinds Community Center's Arts & Crafts programs provide an outlet for the artist in all of us, hosting a variety of mediums with which to work during a varied programming schedule. Among its many amenities, the Arts & Crafts room boasts an electric kiln for ceramic work, and ample work space for painting, sculpture, crafts, and more.

Spring 2024

Ceramics with Michele

• A 4-week Tuesday evening ceramic class where participants will create functional, or decorative beautifully designed objects using a combination of basic clay hand building techniques of coils, slabs, rolling pins and pinch pots. Each student will design a unique project which can range from trays, cake plates, bowls, baskets, pitchers and much more. Students will also learn how to paint and glaze their pieces which are fired in the kiln. No prior experience necessary. All materials included. Please note: You must sign up for all 4 weeks.

Watercolors with Denise

• Watercolor PLUS TWO Day Workshop

  • Have you completed the beginner watercolor class but feel like you need a bit more guidance to bring your paintings to the next step? This TWO day workshop may be just what you’re looking for!       • Pick a session and then the two days within that week that best fists your schedule
        • April Session:  April 15th - 18th

• Beginner Watercolor Class

  • This 1-day workshop is for individuals new to watercolor and want to learn more about its properties and how to create interesting effects and paintings. No prior experience necessary! All materials included. 

    • Friday from 9:30 pm - 2:30 pm
      
      • April Session: Friday the 19th
      • May Session: Friday the 6th
      • June Session: Friday the 10th
    • Price: $25 Member, $40 Non-Member, Max. 10

Adult art classes are for those ages 16+.
